home is not a safe place brings together prose poetry, essay and short poems. The three different types of texts exist in parallel in the zine. It is about; a road trip passing through locations reminiscing childhood memories; a train journey that questions fate; stopping by a shy neighbour spontaneously; interrogating inheritance, heredity, family; the expression of love for loved ones, whether they are family or friends; wishes one has for others, for oneself. Added to the mix, there are some hints of pop culture, Youtube videos, and some AI-modified images. It is, as the author writes “a train filled with unstable emotions”. A zine by Pierre-Paul Bianchi.
